Henry Dixon is a Childcare Educator with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood Development from Tidewater Community College and working toward his Bachelor Degree at Norfolk State University.

He and his spouse, Antionette, have operated a Virginia Quality home-based childcare facility, Children's Corner, for the past 10 years serving South Hampton Roads area. In 2011, Children's Corner was awarded a 5 STAR Virginia Quality Rating and continues to participate in the new Virginia rating system. Mr. Dixon is a mentor for child care providers who want to become licensed in the City of Suffolk in accordance with Virginia Licensing and Regulations. He is associated with numerous organizations in Virginia such as South Hampton Roads Smart Beginnings, Places and Food Programs (USDA), and Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS). He is a member of several organizations: National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Southeastern Childcare Association (SECA), and Professional Family Early Education Childcare Association (PFEECA).

Mr. Dixon is a Retired U.S. Navy Veteran of 22 years, has various community involvements while serving as Vice President of a mentoring organization, Sowing Seeds for Future Generations (S2F2G). He has been married to his wife of thirty (30) years, Antionette Dixon, has a son, Travis, and granddaughter, Jamaria.
